Summer Art Workshop

The fourth day of the 20-day ‘Summer Art Workshop’—organized under the joint aegis of the State Lalit Kala Akademi (Uttar Pradesh) and the Rashtriya Kala Manch (Meerut Province)—concluded enthusiastically today at the Department of Fine Arts, Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar. During the workshop, students gave expression to their creativity through diverse artistic mediums such as watercolor painting, optical illusions, and tie-and-dye.

In this session, instructors Mayank Saini and Rajnikant—joined by guest expert Mohammad Khalid—acquainted the participating students with the nuances of painting and various artistic techniques. They provided the students with detailed guidance on the practical and creative aspects of art, thereby offering the participants an opportunity to hone their artistic capabilities.

Through this workshop, students are gaining exposure to various art forms, which is proving instrumental in further strengthening their creative skills. Furthermore, this training is also familiarizing them with professional prospects and future career dimensions within the field of art.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manoj Dhiman, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, extended a warm welcome to all participating students and artists, stating that such workshops play a pivotal role in fostering the students' personality development, creative thinking, and professional competence.

Throughout the workshop, special emphasis was placed on how young artists can identify their future prospects within the realm of art and channel them in a positive direction. This event aligns perfectly with the core objectives of the State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow—namely, to take art to the masses, foster a creative outlook within society, and expand employment-oriented opportunities.
