Students from the Physical Education Department of Shri Ram College brought honor to the college by winning the Maa Shakumbhari Inter-College Handball (Women's) Competition with a stellar performance.
Providing information about the competition, Mr. Pramod Kumar, Head of the Physical Education Department of Shri Ram College, stated that the Inter-College Handball (Women's) Competition was held at Government Girls PG College, Kandhla. Players from five colleges of Maa Shakumbhari University, including Government College, Kandhla, Gochar College, Rampur Maniharan, VSP Kairana, VV College, Shamli, and Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, participated. In the final and decisive match of the competition, the team of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar, Kajal, Jyoti, Mansi, Shivani, Riya Shah, Naina Kapoor, Priyanka, defeated the team of Government College, Kandhla, by 15-11 and won the Inter-College Handball (Women's) title. He informed that this women's team will play in the Inter-University Handball (Women's) competition representing Maa Shakumbhari University, Saharanpur.
On this occasion, Dr. SC Kulshrestha, Chairman of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, presented the players with mementos on their arrival at the college and wished them a bright future. While extending his best wishes, he said that all the players try to give their best performance in the competition. In this competition also, the participants of this college won due to their excellent performance.
On this occasion, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal and Director of Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar encouraged all the winning players on their victory and expressed hope that the players of the college will maintain similar excellent performance in future as well and will play with full dedication and hard work. On this occasion, college lecturers Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan, Sandeep Deswal, Amardeep, Tarun and Vishwadeep Kaushik etc. congratulated the winning team and wished them a bright future.
