The two-day intercollegiate Yoga competition for the yoga trainees of the colleges affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University concluded at Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar. Players from different districts, showcasing their talent, not only won the inter-college competition, but also secured their place in the team of Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
The chief selector of the jury, Rishipal Singh, President, UP Yogasan Sports Association, Chaudhary Charan Singh University's representative Dr. Ompal Singh and Dr. Santosh Chaudhary evaluated the participants in several stages.
In men's category, Jitendra Jha of Vijay College of Education got first position, Akash of M.M.H secured second division. Satyanarayan and Prateek of Shri Ram College secured third and fourth place respectively. In the women's section, Taru Tyagi of SNGI Mohddinpur got first position. Muskan of MMH Ghaziabad got second position and Vaishali Tayal of Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar secured third position.
Dr. Aditya Gautam, Director of Shri Ram College, while congratulating the players who won the Intercollegiate Yoga Competition said that it is a matter of great pride that the responsibility of organizing the Inter College Yoga Competition this year was entrusted to Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar and the teachers of the Department of Physical Education made their important contribution in making this yoga competition a success.
