Library is a vital resource and it serves as a nerve center for all students' pursuits. The SRC's computerized impressive libraries comprises of rich collection of carefully selected books,journals,periodicals, newspapers,audio cassettes and compact discs. The Libraries in it stocks have more than 38000 books and more than 200 subscribed journals and magazines. Reprography service is provided to the students. The library members have free access to the libraries of the SRC for the purpose of reference and can obtain copies of printed articles and other material at a subsidized rate. The Libraries are also having the facility of DELNET, which allows the students to work on digital network of libraries belonging to premier institution across the world.

General Rules

• All users are required to produce I-Cards on entrance. Books and items taken out of the Library must be produced for inspection.

• Silence and discipline must be observed strictly in the Library.

• The Library staff on duty has the right to request a user to leave the premises if he is found to be violating any of the Library rules.

• Bags/ Personal belongings are not allowed and library will not accept any responsibility for the loss or misplacement of personal belongings.

• Library card should be returned for taking ‘ No Dues Certificate’

• Use of mobiles by students and staff is strictly prohibited in the Library

• Smoking, consuming tobacco, food and drinks is not permitted in the Library.

Book Issue Rules

• Library Card is non-transferable

• Reference books, Magazines and Journals will not be issued for outside use.

• 03 text books will be issued to a student for a maximum period of 15 days

• Users will be held responsible for materials issued to them. A user is allowed to either replace the book lost or damaged by purchasing it himself or requesting the Library to replace it, on payment of amount equivalent to the price of the latest edition.

Fines

• Duplicate library card will be issued on payment of Rs 50

• A fine will be imposed for causing damage to the books/ materials in the library

• Rs 5 per day per book will be charged if it is not returned by due date. This can be substantially increased for delay beyond a week. No payment should be made without authorized receipt.

Ignorance of any rule shall not be treated as an excuse for its breach.
