About the course

Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication is a three-year undergraduate course. BJMC was established in our college in 2008.It is affiliated to msuniversity.ac.in, Saharanpur.The three-year course is further divided in to six consecutive semesters. The main objective of the course is to make the participant understand the ways though which one can communicate his ideas among masses. The course includes external projects by which the students get the exposure to various professional domains such as news dailies, radio, television, journals etc. Upon completion of the course, the candidate gets a concise and clear picture on diverse aspects of journalism, advertising, and communication. The course study helps one to get either in to the profession of journalism or other media professions such as public relation officer, content research and creation, media planning and so on.

Electronic media with its various forms has upgraded the study of Mass Communication, Journalism and Advertising.

Working in print media offers the opportunities to be a news reporter, an editor, a feature writer, a photojournalist, etc. Electronic media offers great opportunities of being a News Reporter, News Editor, News Reader, Programme Anchor, Interviewer, Cameraman, Producer, Director etc. Advertising is a line for a creative and artistic person. Planning, designing or promoting a product, all fall under the purview of advertising.

Course Eligibility

The students who have completed their 10+2 studies from any of the recognized institutes in any of the streams of Science, Commerce or Arts are eligible to apply to the course. The qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 45% marks.

About the course

Master Of Journalism & Mass Communication is a two year Master degree course. It is affiliated to msuniversity.ac.in, Saharanpur. The two year Master course is further divided in to four consecutive semester. The Main objectives of the course is to make participants and understands the ways. The objective of MJMC is to enable the students to understand the concept, scope and significance of mass communication and its techniques; to familiarize and train the students with media techniques by affording them an exposure to contemporary media skills and to provide an opportunity to pursue their areas of interest in this educational stream to go for a career. To fulfill these goals systematic education of journalism and mass communication has become inevitable.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of communication and mass communication. The study of this course will help the students to understand the process of communication, Mass Communication and related theories and models of communication.

Course Eligibility

The students who have completed their Graduation from any of the recognized Universities in any of the streams of Science, Commerce or Arts are eligible to apply for the course. The qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 45% marks Gen/OBC and 40% for SC/ST.
